A member of the 77th class of Hopes Peak that was brainwashed by Junko. Her title is the Ultimate Gymnast due to her amazing athletic abilities and superhuman strength. She has a huge love for meat and has the nose of a bloodhound. She trains a lot with Nekomaru Nidai when not doing anything. She was saved in the Cloud Kingdom when Hope lured her out. She shows a lot of loyalty in Hope, even jumping into the Sky Eater in an attempt to save him.
In battle, Most of Akane’s trumps in fighting come from her strength and agility. Being an expert in all types of sports and combat, her weapons may as well be her own legs. One of Hope’s fist, or rather foot fighting experts that does not rely on actual weapons.
